The Pilgrims Rest Hotel is situated near Mount Melleray Abbey in Cappoquin, County Waterford. Cappoquin is situated on the northern bank of the River Blackwater, 15 miles from Dungarvan, 55 miles from Wateford City, and 7 miles from Lismore. To Mount Melleray from Cappoquin is 4 miles. Once you get to Cappoquin follow the signs to Mount Melleray, approximately 3 miles turn right at the cats bar you will then go past the Mount Melleray Grotto on your left, straight up another quarter of a mile and you will find us, the Mount melleray gates to the abbey is to the left, just past us.

Take the scenic route to Tipperary stopping off at impressive Mitchellstown cave with it's remarkable stalactites, stalagmites and calciten crystal formations.
