About Hunters Lodge
Dating back to 1885, The Hunter's Lodge has enjoyed the company of many travellers and locals alike who call in for a quiet pint or a tasty bite to eat before taking to the road again.
Set in the heart of County Clare in the village of Newmarket on Fergus, The Hunter's Lodge invites you to join the surroundings of it's comfortable modern interior against the backdrop of an old fashioned open fire.
Should you decide to stay the night, our self contained Guesthouse provides six cosy bedrooms with modern facilities. Relax in the lounge before you retire for the night and join us in the morning for a hearty irish breakfast
Hunters Lodge Rooms
All six bedrooms are tastefully and stylishly decorated with the emphasis on comfort and getting a good night's sleep! All rooms have flat screen television, direct dial telephone, alarm clocks, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and free wireless internet access. En suites are generous in size with shower, wc and wash hand basin. Double rooms have one double bed, twin rooms have two single beds and a family room has one double bed and one single bed. All rooms are NON-SMOKING.
The Dining Room
Breakfast is served in the dining room each morning from 8am to 10am. Guests can choose from traditional Irish or Continental breakfast.
Hunters Lodge Location
While staying here with us at The Hunter's Lodge, why not visit some of the many local attractions? Mooghaun Ring Fort, Quin Abbey, Craggaunowen and Knappogue Castle are all within 6km of Newmarket on Fergus.
7km away you will find the famous 15th Century Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. You may like to attend one of their Medieval Banquets or Traditional Irish Nights during your stay. The Cliffs of Moher, The Burren and The Aillwee Caves are about a 1hour drive, but not to be missed.
For the golfers amongst you, there is an abundance of golf courses within easy reach. Dromoland Golf and Country Club is just 2km away, Shannon Golf Club is 10km. Also close enough for a day trip are Woodstock, Ennis, Lahinch and Doonbeg.
Those of you who enjoy shopping will not be disappointed by the great selection of boutiques, souvenir shops and department stores in both Ennis and Limerick.
Shannon International Airport is only 10km.

The bar is the ‘heart' of The Hunter's Lodge where visitors and locals alike get together to enjoy a pint of the ‘black stuff'!!! Here you can enjoy good quality ‘home cooked' food served in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Our a la carte menu runs daily from 12 noon to 9pm. Breakfast is also available once we open each morning at 10.30. Our restaurant seats 45 and is the ideal place to hold a private lunch or dinner party. Menus can be tailored to suit your requirements. We take bookings for Christenings, First Holy Communions, Confirmations, 21st birthdays or any event you wish to celebrate!!
