"Gleann Fia" Country House (Gaelic for Glen of the Deer) , is a Victorian style Country House Guesthouse. Our country house is open year round to guests travelling to visit the wonderful sights of County Kerry known to us locals as "The Kingdom".
We are located 2KM from the busy town of Killarney and yet idyllically situated at the edge of a wooded river valley known as "The Fairy Glen". Our location is ideal for a based holiday , touring the scenic sights of Kerry , playing golf on world renowned championship golf courses and links , Fishing, Hill Walking and Outdoor Adventures in this most beautiful part of Ireland.
Our Natural Gardens contain many wild flowers throughout the year and is equally splendid when autumn sets in . The garden is bordered by the River Deenach which eventually flows through Killarney town and National park.
A path (lit by night) leads along the Riverbank and Woodlands of the house. On arrival you will be welcomed by Bridget or Conor, and after settling into your rooms we will happy to discuss your itinery and reserve dinner for you in one of the many quality restaurants found in Killarney today.
Gleann Fia Country House is built specifically with the guest's comfort in mind. Reception area with Free Wifi and comfortable seating. Our ensuite guest rooms are tastefully decorated, some furnished with antiques pieces and all rooms have pleasant views of the surrounding countryside. All Guest rooms have Direct Dial Telephone, Free WiFi, SAT TV, Hairdryers and Clock Radio.

Gleann Fia Country House is situated in the Lower Coolcorcoran Kilcummin Road area of Killarney.
Killarney Town centre is 2km, Kerry Airport a 15 minutes drive. We are a short drive from Ross Castle, Muckross House & Gardens and Killarney National Park.
Shannon and Cork airports are 1 and half houes drive.
Visitors travelling from the UK or Europe by ferry can enter the Country by either Cork or Rosslare harbours.
Directions from Rosslare & Waterford. Take the N25 from Rosslare to Waterford and on towards Dungarvan. Before the town of Dungarvan take the N72 passing through the towns of Lismore, Fermoy & Mallow and on to Killarney. Approaching Killarney, take the 2nd exit off the roundabout N22 (signposted for Tralee) Travel for half a mile where you will take the first right turn (signposted) for Kilcummin & Gleann Fia Country House. We are 700m from the main road and on the right hand side.
Directions from Shannon /Limerick. From Shannon take the N18 into Limerick. From Limerick take the N21, passing through the towns of Adare, Newcastlewest and Abbeyfeale until you reach Castleisland. In Castleisland, take the N23 into Farranfore. From Farranfore, take the N22 towards Killarney. On approaching Killarney, take a left off the 1st roundabout (direction N22, Cork). Take the 1st left off that Cork road (signposted Kilcummin/Gleann Fia Country House). Gleann Fia Country House is 700m from the main road, on the right hand side.
For breakfast, we endeavour to suit all tastes with main courses varying from full breakfast to a fresh fruit and yogurt dish or cheese platter along with fruit juices, choice of cereals, freshly ground coffee, health bread and home-made preserves.
For golfers there is a storage area/drying room for golf equipment etc. Early breakfasts are also available (on request) for those with early teeing times
