About Cashel House Hotel
Cashel House Hotel, formerly one of Connemara's most gracious mid–19th century country houses was opened as an hotel by skilled hoteliers, Dermot and Kay McEvilly in 1968. Cashel House Hotel is a luxury 4 star hotel which stands at the head of Cashel Bay, in the heart of Connemara on the West coast of Ireland and is set in a 50 acre award winning garden of flowering shrubs and woodland walks.
Luxury and tranquillity are offered to discerning guests in an atmosphere created by turf and log fires and a friendly and helpful staff and by tastefully decorated rooms with full central heating. In 1969 the late General and Madame De Gaulle spent two weeks of their Irish holiday there. Beaches, golf, salmon and sea–trout fishing and Horse Riding are available in the vicinity. The hotel has its own hard tennis court, tiny private beach.
Cashel House Hotel Rooms
At Cashel House we have 3 types of Rooms, Standard, Superior and Garden Suites. All these Rooms are En Suite and have Telephone, Television, Hairdryers, etc.
The Standard Rooms overlook either the Courtyard or Cashel Hill behind the Hotel.
The Superior Rooms are larger than the Standard Rooms and have a small seating area. These Rooms overlook the Garden to the side of the Hotel.
The Garden Suites are our Largest Bedrooms which are split level with a step down from the Bedroom to a Sitting Area. These Rooms have the best view onto the Gardens.
Cashel House Hotel Location
In Cashel on the coast road between Carna and Roundstone. The local shop, pub and post office are 1/2 mile from Bay View Cottage. Roundstone is 7 miles and Clifden is 12 miles away. Deep sea fishing is available from Roundstone, Clifden and Cleggan.
Cashel itself is a small quiet village on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean and at the foot of, and sheltered by, Cashel Hill. The people, by nature friendly and easy–going add to your feeling of welcome and relaxation. Our hope is that you will leave Cashel happier and healthier than when you arrived.
