About Byrnesgrove Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast

Jim and Laura welcome you to their family farmhouse bed & breakfast . Our Bed and Breakfast is a newly renovated farmhouse set in a tranquil scenic area on the edge of the Castlecomer plateau in Kilkenny. Adjacent to our home we have a working farm with lots of animals big and small and some rare breeds. Our rooms are all ensuite, large and family friendly with all nescecesary facilities for you to have a most enoyable stay. We have excellent choice for breakfast which is fresh, homebaked and sourced locally. We have gardens to sit out and play area for kids inside and out and lots of farm animal, join us each morning with feeding time and meet our extend family. Lets us help with your travel plans and explore some unspolit countryside. Near by enjoy the Dunmore cave or the discovery park, The Rock of Cashel or take a stroll through the medeivil city of Kilkenny and visit the many Historic site. On arrival, enjoy complementary tea & coffee with some home baking and an Irish warm welcome.

Kilkenny is situated on both banks of the River Nore, at the centre of County Kilkenny in the province of Leinster in the south-east of Ireland. Originally founded by Aengus Osraige, Kilkenny was the ancient capital of the kingdom of Ossory. Points of interest within the city and its environs include Kilkenny Castle, St. Canice's Cathedral and round tower, Rothe House, St. Mary's Cathedral, Kells Priory, Kilkenny Town Hall, Black Abbey and Jerpoint Abbey

Musical events including traditional, Classical, World, Jazz Music take place durning the festival. Kilkenny holds the annual Smithwicks Cat Laughs Comedy festival every June.
