About Arnolds Hotel

Established in 1922 the hotel has been in the Arnold Family for three generations. Situated at the entrance to the village and overlooking Horn Head and Sheephaven Bay, we are an ideal base for touring North Donegal, Glenveagh National Park and Gardens close by. Enjoy one of the many activities organised by the hotel, horse riding from the hotel stables, golf on the local golf courses, fishing, walking, painting tuition, photography weekends and creative writing.

The hotel has 30 ensuite bedrooms of a high standard with central heating, direct dial telephone, colour television, hairdryers, and tea and coffee making facilities. A number of the bedrooms enjoy the panoramic views of the Bay and Horn Head, others enjoy the changing scenes in our mature gardens.

Situated at the entrance to the picturesque village of Dunfanaghy overlooking the spectacular scenery of Sheephaven Bay. The hotel overlooks the rugged beauty of the Bay and the golden sands of Killahoey Strand lapped by the blue waters of the Atlantic is just a stroll from the hotel. The striking scenery of Horn Head, with many beautiful walks and hidden attractions is home to a variety of seabirds which can be spotted off the cliffs.

Here is the place to unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the scenic landscape of Sheephaven Bay. As you stroll along the golden sands of Killahoey and Tramore, you can absorb the changing landscapes and observe the silent beauty of Muckish Mountain which forms the natural backdrop to Dunfanaghy. Nearby Ards Forest Park, situated in the Ards Peninsula, has miles of walks through beautiful mature trees, miles of sandy beaches, flora and fauna. The breathtaking vistas will leave you feeling refreshed and energised as you relax and amble along.

In the evening you can relax in the cosy ambience of the Tramore Restaurant overlooking Horn Head and the bay. You will enjoy dinner at your leisure, complimented by fine wines. After dinner you can retire to the Glenveagh Room where you can relax by the open fire in the company of friends.
