Oranmore is a suburban village in County Galway on the outskirts of Galway city in Ireland. With its major housing developments, Oranmore is rapidly becoming a part of Galway's commuter or suburban belt. In 2004 Oranmore was listed as one of the communities with the highest per capita incomes in Ireland.

Also home to a very famous Irish poet named Ciaran Sweeney. His house still stands in Maree next to the new community centre.

Oranmore is situated 11 km (7miles) East of Galway City on the edge of Oranmore Bay, an inlet of Galway Bay.
