Armagh City
Armagh, "The Cathedral City" and ecclesiastical capital of Ireland for 1500 years is the seat of both the Catholic and Protestant archbishops, has two cathedrals both dedicated to St Patrick. The Protestant St.Patrick's Cathedral is the resting place of Brian Boru, High King of Ireland.

Many of the public buildings and the Georgian townhouses along the Mall are the work of Francis Johnston, a native of Armagh, who also left his mark on Georgian Dublin. Many buildings feature the warm coloured local limestone that makes the city glow on the dullest day. This is called 'Armagh marble'. The archbishop's palace and the courthouse are good examples. Armagh city, one of the oldest settlements in Ireland is now a thriving city, with hospitable people and many attractions:

St. Patrick's Trian
This is an exciting innovative tourist complex located in the centre of Armagh City. The Trian (pronounced Tree-an) derives its name from the ancient division of Armagh City into distinct quarters. This award-winning attraction incorporates three very different exhibitions: The Armagh Story traces the city's colourful and eventful past, 'Patrick's Testament' examines Armagh's association with Ireland's Patron Saint, 'The Land of Lilliput', has a twenty-foot giant recounting the adventures of Gulliver, one of Swift's most memorable characters, in a building once visited by the author himself over two centuries earlier!
